FACILITIES


The Club has two bars, the Barrack Bar on the ground floor and the Duntroon Room on the lower ground floor, Maree’s Seafood & Grill, an a la carte restaurant on the first floor, Maree’s Bistro on the lower ground floor and two afternoon and evening function areas, one for formal functions and the other for less formal functions.

BARRACK BAR
The Barrack Bar has dark wood panel walls and beams and a soft “off white” décor which gives the bar an old world charm all of its own. The Barrack Bar has large screen televisions, a lounge area and above the bar are plaques from various defence forces.

Monday to Wednesday 10.30 am – 9.00 pm
Thursday 10.30 am – 10.00 pm
Friday 10.30 am – 11.00 pm


DUNTROON ROOM
The Duntroon Room has a nautical theme, taking its name from the MV Duntroon, a troop ship that was used to carry Australian and Allied soldiers during the Second World War. The Duntroon Room has a jukebox, a large screen television and is an ideal venue to watch various sporting events or a place to go for a quiet drink.

RESTAURANT
The Club has a restaurant on the first floor where superb food of a distinctly Australian flavour is offered and the wine list with an excellent range, all at club prices.

Monday to Friday 12.00 pm – 2.30 pm
Drink service is available from 11.30 am to 3.00 pm


BISTRO
Maree’s Bistro is situated on the lower ground floor in the Duntroon Room and offers good quality bistro style meals at inexpensive prices.

Friday 11.30 am – 3.00 pm & 6.00 pm – 10.00 pm

The bar in the Duntroon Room is open from 11.30 am to 3.00 pm from Monday to Friday and from 5.00 pm to 11.00 pm on Friday


FUNCTIONS
The club has two areas in which functions can be held, Restaurant with chandeliers and a soft off white colour scheme and the Duntroon Room which has a nautical theme. The club does not charge room hire or for Bar Staff for groups to hold functions in the restaurant or the Duntroon Room.

The Restaurant
offers an intimate venue and a fine dining experience for both corporate and private functions.

S
eating capacity for 120 people. Features its own bar, a stage, a new PA system with two cordless microphones and a large screen television capable of accepting input from laptop computers.

This is an ideal venue for formal dinners, presentation diners, business launches, conferences, reunions, Christmas and birthday parties, chic cocktail parties and other similar “up market” events.


There is an extensive wine list and beverages, all at club prices.

Functions in the Duntroon Room
The Duntroon Room takes it name from the Australian coastal liner belonging to the Melbourne Steamship Company, the HMAS MV Duntroon that was requisitioned at the outbreak of the Second World War and used to carry Australian and Allied troops. The HMAS MV Duntroon was camouflaged all over, armed with a large gun in a steel turret, some rockets and, on the after deck, several anti-aircraft devices. The Duntroon Room has a nautical theme.

The Duntroon Room is ideal for the less formal events like work functions, birthday parties, farewells and “get togethers” and has a capacity for 80 persons.

The Duntroon Room bar has its own bar
Bistro offers finger food, cocktails and light meals.

There is an extensive wine list and beverages, all at club prices.
